Manuscripts should be typed and double-spaced. Please send a brief synopsis; an outline or table of contents; two or three sample chapters, including any introduction or preface and the first two chapters; a market assessment (a list of competing books and how your book is different); and a detailed statement of author credentials and biographical information. Please do not send original artwork, as we cannot be responsible for it. Instead, we recommend you send only copies of artwork, when appropriate. We are no longer accepting unsolicited children’s book manuscripts.
We prefer email submissions. Please include your cover letter in the body of the email and your proposal materials as file attachments. Attachments must be in Word or PDF format. The email address for submissions is:

VERY IMPORTANT: If you send your submission by mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) if you wish to hear from us, and especially if you want your manuscript returned. Due to the number of proposals and manuscripts we receive, we can respond only if an SASE is enclosed. Be sure the envelope is large enough to contain the manuscript and includes sufficient postage.
