You say there are thousands of Americans who have psychic gifts but do not realize it. How do you know if you are a reluctant psychic?

“Psychic” means of the soul. So, since we are all essentially souls we all have psychic potential. It’s unfortunate that in this day and age, being psychic is so glamorized. It’s not! It’s a serious spiritual path, not a circus show. The reluctance we have as a society to enveloping our psychic potential means that we have to stand up and take back our power and become conscious, responsible humans. That’s means a great change needs to happen on a global scale. That change starts with us. We can see this inner change beginning to occur because people in general are become more aware of their psychic selves.

Being psychic and intuitive comes from the inner knowing that certain events in our lives are divine hints telling us there is more to our world than meets the eye. We are manifesting within us psychic and mystical realities that we can build a spiritual practice on and delve deeper into our inner lives. I want people to know they have all the psychic and spiritual power within them to change their lives for the better. They also can touch those around them with that same inner light just by being in-sync with their own power. We all have access to intuitive powers and an inner knowing that always leads us in the right direction if we are willing to listen. That’s what my work as a psychic and spiritual director if founded on. I am here to help you build your own spiritual and psychic foundation.

You are called a Reader of Hearts, what does that mean?

When I do a psychic reading, I go right for the heart. The heart is where I find the root cause of challenges and hidden potential. The heart tells no tales but the truth you are embodying. I “see” into your emotional and spiritual self, that part of you that holds your highest capability. With this “heart knowledge,” I can guide a person to a more spirit-directed life and help them help themselves. I always direct them to their own divine power.

What was the catalyst for your spiritual journey?

The message of Shirley MacLaine’s movie and book, Out On A Limb woke me up to the fact that there is much more going on in this universe than meets the eye. Out On A Limb’s significance and Shirley’s own example of the spiritual journey launched me onto my own search for God and spiritual sustenance.

It was truly a challenge to quench my spiritual thirst living in small town Arkansas. It was not only in the middle of the Bible belt, it was the “belt buckle” of the Bible belt. But, living in that kind of challenge only served to make me go even deeper within myself for the truth. What the church was telling me was not enough for my soul to feel its highest potential, so I kept searching and was handed the message of Out on a Limb. Thank, God, literally!

How did you become psychic?

I did not become psychic. The gift was there from the beginning. I have never known a day when my inner knowing was not “on” on some level. I tell folks, that my “being psychic” is not very glamorous. I did not get struck by lighting or have an out of body experience and then woke up with “the gift”. My gifts came with the package, at birth.

Because I saw that my destiny was to be a psychic guide or spiritual director, this caused me to delve even deeper within to know what my “gift” meant for my life. How was I to use it, if I did not know much about it? The seven elements of soul development I talk about in my book are the accumulation of my own search and inquiry into what “being psychic” and sustaining the power within is all about. Again, we all have the ability to be spiritual or psychic beings in our own lives, and I had to ask the same questions and go within like everyone one else does in order to realize their gifts.

In your book, do you show people how they can discover their own psychic and spiritual gifts? How?

I do not teach people to be a psychic. I teach and direct people to be more spiritual. That is the goal of my work. When one becomes more in-sync with their soul it’s a natural by product of that connection to become more intuitive and perceptive in your life. You begin seeing with the power behind your eyes and knowing that the world within you is the real world you are truly living in. I give several exercises in the book that help strengthen and maintain a spiritual lifestyle. That should be everyone’s goal for life’s journey, spiritual self-reliance.

What’s the most essential key to personal and spiritual growth?

Go within. Keep checking your intent on your path. Make sure that your eyes are always on the desire and communion with your personal connection to the Divine.

You have stated that much of current psychic and spiritual media is like a Spiritual Hollywood. Can you explain what you mean by that?

This is one of the biggest soapboxes I stand on. First, I feel like it’s my job to help reclaim the true vocation of a psychic from fortuneteller to spiritual director. That’s what being a psychic is all about. It’s not about throwing people into the future with predictions of love and money. Being a psychic or spiritual director is about reminding people about the power of their own soul where all the wealth and love they are searching for resides. The “Psychic Glamour” that many of today’s “celebrity psychics” embody is very addictive. To have flashy powers is a good stroke for the ego. The spiritual Hollywood scene, in my opinion, is taking people out of themselves while promising psychic powers and predictions instead of helping clients find the spiritual power WITHIN.
