THE POWER OF NOW

A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment

To make the journey into the Now we will need to leave our analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. From the very first page of Eckhart Tolle's extraordinary book, we move rapidly into a significantly higher altitude where we breathe a lighter air. We become connected to the indestructible essence of our Being, “The eternal, ever present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death.” Although the journey is challenging, Eckhart Tolle uses simple language and an easy question and answer format to guide us.

A word of mouth phenomenon since its first publication, The Power of Now is one of those rare books with the power to create an experience in readers, one that can radically change their lives for the better.

In the Presence of a Great Mystery
  • Marc Allen says:

I've been listening to this repeatedly; it always has an almost immediate effect on my consciousness. Thoughts drift away; a quiet space emerges within...

In some ways, this is even better than THE POWER OF NOW (which is the best book I've ever read), because Eckhart speaks more simply than he writes. He gently leads us into a quiet space within us. A place beyond words. And we relax, and our problems dissolve. And we become fully aware of the wonder and mystery of what is.

Eckhart Tolle is simply the finest spiritual teacher that I know of who is speaking today, speaking to us now.

"The Power of Now" is simply the best book I have ever read. I've been picking it up constantly over the last ten years, and am slowly working my way through it. I spent 18 months reading just one sentence every day: "To offer no resistance to life is to live in a state of grace, ease, and lightness." I still often reflect on that throughout the day -- and see all the things, great and small, that I continue to resist. Once I'm aware of it, I can let that resistance go and accept what is. This book has had an effect on my life like no other; it has lightened up every day of my life, and given me an ease, lightness, and, yes, even a grace that I never would have thought possible.

I thank Eckhart Tolle every day for writing a masterpiece that has had the power to change so many people's lives all over the world. He is contributing in a big way to a global change in consciousness, and bringing peace to a great many people's lives.

I love The Power of Now, too. I find it remarkable that a book can shift my state of mind so dramatically: after reading even a few pages, I feel grounded and alert, aware in a way I wasn't before. If any book can be said to transmit the consciousness or energy of the author, it's this one.
