New World Library Publisher Marc Allen Introduces the MIDDLE PILLAR MEDITATION from His Book THE MAGICAL PATH
The central exercise in my book The Magical Path, at least for me, is the Middle Pillar meditation.

I first did it when I was 21, and I felt it heal me — almost immediately — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

As the years pass, I come to newer and deeper understandings of this meditation’s power. It’s so simple to do: Just relax, even if just for a brief moment, and imagine a warm, vibrant energy at the crown of your head . . .  and then feel it slowly move down through your whole body, healing every cell of your body along the way.

And then imagine that energy rising up through your feet and going back up to your crown, soothing, healing, and relaxing every cell. Then let it flow down through your body again. . . . 

If any area of your body has a health problem, send your healing energy to that area. Breathe into it. Fill it with vibrant light.

This little exercise has taught me so much over the years:

I can heal myself! As Israel Regardie says in The Art of True Healing, “Within every man and woman is a force that directs and controls the entire course of life. Properly used, it can heal every ailment and affliction we may have.”

Imagining energy running through your body is a simple, natural way to let go of tension and resistance to what is. And it’s this tension and holding in the body, constricting the flow of natural energy, that causes anxiety and disease. Are you holding tension somewhere? Are you feeling frustration somewhere in your stomach? A sadness in your heart? Is something a pain in your neck? Or giving you headaches?

Simply relaxing and imagining healing light energy moving through any areas of tightness and tension, simply relaxing and releasing those areas with the power of your thoughts, loosens up that tension and frees you from that restricting tightness. This simple exercise can have wonderful, powerful — even miraculous — results.

You can heal yourself!

You don’t have to believe it. Just try it and see what happens.
